Blog: Quest to Beat Food Allergies
All the crap that food allergies cause:
They are one of the worst causes of gallstones, and...
...and people with extensive food allergies can't prepare to do a liver flush to try to eliminate the gallstones, because they can't simply eating raw foods or "eat lightly" to prep for a liver flush - because food allergies cause constipation. EVEN FOODS THAT ARE GOOD FOR EVERYBODY ELSE! Green beans, anyone?
Food allergies, if the person continues to leave those foods in the diet, cause insurmountable constipation or other bowel problems, not alleviated at all by any bowel product.
Leaving the allergenic foods in the diet is nearly impossible to avoid if the person is allergic to more than 5 or 6 common things.
Food allergies prevent being able to fast for health, because they give you extreme hypoglycemic reactions (those who have not had a severe hypoclycemic reaction to fasting cannot understand this)
I am tired. I'm tired of having to live like this. If I don't live like a hermit and leave out every scrap of every single little food that I'm sensitive to, I feel sick all the time. AND:
I can't even reap the benefits of healing methods others can use. Can't do liver flushes. Don't get anything from bowel cleansing products. Can't fast. All I am is a bystander to life, why should I try anymore.

Hello,
PLEASE repost your message on the Ask Barefoot Herbalist forum. He has definite guidelines for those who are motivated, to put us back on the road to good health. They are not that difficult to follow either, just need determination. Many have seen results very quickly. His screen name is MH & he cares about people.

- Barefoot Herbalist ideas are often wrong by north

No thank you, but nice of you to post a message anyway. The Barefoot Herbalist ideas are often wrong. I won't elaborate, because this isn't a debate forum - suffice it to say that several of his basic methods are things I tried over the years that made me worse, not better - his ideas are the opposite of what some people should be doing.

- My story and..... by newbe

Hang in there!
I will try and make this short.
3-4 years ago I was in constant pain, the MD's had no clue. I got to the point that all I could eat was a rice protein shake and barely that. I had to drink little bits every hour. I couldn't sleep for more than 4 hours. I constantly felt like I was going to faint, if I stood up, everything would go black.
I prayed and prayed and discovered that I couldn't tolerate gluten. It took about 2 weeks but the pain stopped. The rapid weight-loss evened off. But my guts were so damaged that all I could eat was chicken thighs, cooked squash, cooked onions, and ghee. I ate this for 8 months, no kidding. I found a classical homeopath and within 3 months was eating everything but gluten and eggs. I am still working on a complete cure but I am now better than I have ever been in my life.
Some things I did:
Drink water, lots of it. Though when I was really ill it made my stomach cramp, I learned 3 years later that this happens when you are chronically dehydrated, and to drink more.
Parasite cleanse and bowel cleanse, I was chronically constipated for, well as long as I can remember. I thought it was normal.
Liver cleanse. That took alot of faith to do. 4 years before I did it, and it was so worth it.
I have always had severe hypoglycemia, always carried food with me, and would panic if I ran out. What helped a lot with that was eating more protein rich foods and good fats (Makers Diet and Nourishing Traditions are two great books that I follow) I can fast now with no problems. I think the parasite cleanse would help with that too.
My biggest regret is not jumping in sooner and doing it. Also, don't think just one cleanse will do it, I have done several cleanses and many different types, all pealed a little layer of illness off. I plan on doing this P&B cleanse for 3 months, taking a break and doing it again. Same with the parasite cleanse, I passed hundreds of them and am doing it again.
I wish to encourage you, there is help out there and there is an answer. Keep fighting!
