So this young man ate this farmers food and in 2 weeks was cured of his dastardly heartburn that for 10 years had given him a hellish time. He was now a happy young man. But from time to time his heartburn would return, but rather than going back to the cures-that-did-not-cure, he tried Apple cider Vinegar and lo and behold the heartburn was banished again, this time in minutes. Again he was a happy young man.
Now this young man started some learning about foods n diets n whatnots for he had some other ills to attend to. He met some knowledgeable fellows and they gave bucket loads of advice. One knowledgeable man gave him special diets, special lists, special foods to eat and certain foods to avoid. This young man told this knowledgeable fellow about the apple cider vinegar story and he laughed at the poor young man. “You fool, don’t take that muck, its too acidic,” he said “no, no, no that will make you sick, make everything worse.” The young man was shocked, “but, I assure you Sir, whenever I have heartburn, I drink a thimbleful of ACV and hey-presto no more heartburn.” The knowledgeable man laughed and laughed at the poor young man."
Fact: whenever I have heartburn, which is very infrequently now, a little sip of ACV makes it go away. Simple and effective. No more antacids….. fast and fantastic. Together with a real food diet it works and no more heartburn.
Why did this man say that it was wrong to take ACV for heartburn? He is an “expert” and he told me something that was plainly “wrong”
Why did he say the opposite of what I know to be true? Or was he speaking about the “average young man.” Maybe I am not an average young man? Maybe he was not listening to me? And maybe he should be ignored?
Question: Why did this man say that it was wrong to take ACV for heartburn when it plainly works for me?

Answer: Many folks who think they may be wise because they may have become Educated of the world's ways, may consider it foolishness of anyone who finds "Simple" things of Nature, which work to Solve our problems !
Could it just be a problem of the Educated of the world may have become Educated beyond their own Intelligence ?

Thanks for re-printing my post. I just stumbled upon your blog, as I was killing time before i go to sleep. I have a little bit of heartburn tonight, I got in late and had a thimble full of ACV to make the heartburn go away and I’m waiting for it to go down, before I sleep.
I will go to bed with a smile on my face now:-)

| sunshine p, did the apple cider vinegar work? as i have an high blood pressure problem and cannot use antacid that one purchases from a chemist. i asked my colleague what he used when suffering heartburn etc. as he suffers badly with diabetes and has the same problem. he told me to simply drink a glassful of hot water, which i tried and it worked almost immediately. it's just another remedy i hope the a c vinegar done the trick for you, tomi.

Yes, ACV works a treat for me. I am on The watercure at the moment, been 10 months now, drinking 2 liters of water per day and yes drinking water is excellent for many things incl heartburn.
In fact, I start every day by drinking 1 pint of hot warm salted water. I works well for me.

| Well, all of the college medical classes are run my big Pharma. We are taught to cure symptoms not solve the problem. If you look at any over the counter drug it doesn't cure anything. It temporarily relives symptoms ! Read it ! I challenge you to go to the drug store and look at some labels. Our medical doctors solve symptoms. When they cure you of cancer, the cancer 80% of the time comes back a month or a few years later. But if you make your body Alkaline and eat raw foods and lots of water. Cancer can't grow in a healthy body. Period.
