    today went well i lost 3 lbs and i decieded to join the others on the fasting board for a 44 day fast startin on tuesday and i am just doin water onlu.. it will be awesme i can hardly wait anyway i feel great but im realy tired will post more tomorrow

      Hi there!
      Before I make any comments about fasting for 44 days I need to
      ask you few questions. Have been eating a healthy diet for at
      least few months? have you done any detoxing and preparations
      like juicing and being on raw diet for a week or two? Are you
      healthy? Have you had a checkup and have you asked the doctor
      if it's OK for you to fast? If the answer to all questionsis NO,
      than don;t attempt the maximum time you can go with no food
      before irreversible damage is done. If you never fasted for at
      least 3 days followed bt 10 days, than you should start slowly.
      If this your first fast, stop after 3 days. In a month, try another
      for 10 days and listen to your body, then do 10 day fast a couple
      more times every 3 months and between fasts stay on whole food diet
      rich in produce and then you might try a longer fast. I have fasting
      for 3 years now and so far 10 day fast was my longest. Now I am on
      day 3 of a 14 day water fast to be followed by 7 days juice fast
      and then raw diet for a week and after that back to healthy, whole
      food balance diet. Going for 44 days with no preparation can kill
      you, especially if you do it alone with no supervision. It is very
      dangerous and unnessecary. You can;t reverse lifetime of bad eating
      habits (that is how we gain weight) in 6 weeks. You will deprive your
      body of nutrients and get it out of balance not talking about your
      body consuming all the muscle tissue so needed for healthy weight
      loss. Your fast should only be a jumpstart to a healthy lifestyle
      and change your eating habits. If you don;t learn how to eat right,
      you will go right back to eating the wrong food and all that weight
      will come right back. Be pateint and concentrate on your health firts
      and you will be surprised how easily you will lose weight.
