Hi all - never written a jouranl before - let alone a blog - so please forgive me if I ramble a bit and my spelling mistakes!!
My IBS symtoms started about 2 years - and where I have been lucky (I'll get on to that later and heres how I came across this product) - a friend wasnt so fortunate - she suffered terribly. Any food would set her off (stomach cramps, diahorrea to the other extreme - constipation and going out was a nitemare) and so she had tried many "cures" that she felt like she would rattle if you shook her!!
We can across a product one nite while surfing on the net - it is called Phycoplex - a red marine algae product and having heard that RMA can help regulate your gut - she was willing to give it a go. Personally I was dubvious - as I have seen her try these remedies before - but her condition was that serious that she would have tried anything!!
So she sent off for 1 bottle - 60 vegicapsules and it promptly arrived. She decided that first thing in the morning would be the best for her - so 2 tablets a day.
Now initially she had severe loosening of the bowel and how she put up with it, I dont know - but as she says - at least something was happening! :-#
After 5 days this ceased and she started to become regular.
She also noticed a reduction in her stomach cramps - and she actually started to enjoy and look forward to her food - instead of fearing it.
She now takes one tablet a day and suggested that I try it.
My symptoms werent as severe as hers - I had chronic indigestion especially after eating any food, stomach cramps and was irregular.

and ordered - and was pleasantly surprised that my bottle arrived promptly on Monday morning (14th Feb - Nice Valentines surprise!) - considering I had ordered on last Friday nite(11th Feb).
Again I followed my friend's example and took the initial 2 tablets.
I did have a loosening of the bowel for the first few days and I have to say I am now getting to be regular.
The major thing for me - is that my stomach cramps and indigestion have nearly disappeared - and as a tester I enjoyed a whacking piece of lasagne last nite (just call me Garfield) and NO INDIGESTION!!!
Now I wont say that I am cured (it hasnt even been a week) - but if I can eat lasagne without getting anything - then I will continue to take this product.
I will continue to take 2 tablets for the next week and see how it goes.
Fingers crossed then!

Im frequently prone to acidity, crampy pain, bloating and gastric pain in my stomach . Have never tried psycoplex as you mentioned but my doctor put me on some chinese herbal medications and acupuncture. The acupuncture did have some effect after a few weeks and later it went off completely.
Some other drugs which help in curing IBS is loperamide. Do check here my health site for more info on I.B.S.

I know IBS is one of the most common disorders of digestive system producing a spectrum of symptoms.
I am suffering from this disease.
Anyone can tell me about its cure.
What are the reasons of this Disease?
