Blog: Nursing in the Raw
After not being able to wash dishes and juice for a few months, I'm back to juicing. Today I made my first juice, two big jars and I'm doing this feast for a few days because I want the fat belly gone and my cells cleaned out. Plus I want to conquer the snack beast at work. Juice feasting for two or three days with lots of water. I want to see some good numbers at the next vault weigh in!

Such a miracle I made it through a shift without eating. I drank all of my juice, plus had a cup of coffee (12 ounces) with some skinny creamer not a lot though. When I started getting antsy, I chewed wheatgrass (yes during my medpass!). I'm sure people thought I was chewing gum. The wheatgrass juice took the coffee cravings down quite a few notches as well as the snack instinct when things get busy. Last drink of the night was a 4oz cup of bottle orange juice because the narc count was wrong and I had to wait around for 20min. I was getting hungry like a MUG but I'm off to sleep to see if I can make it to church before my morning job.

Broke my fast today. I achieved my main goal and that was no snacking at work over the weekend. I stuck with all juice saturday. Sunday I had to have green smoothies added because I was being dogged with hunger. At work I had a big quart of juice and smoothie that was as watery and thin as possible. Last night I had a late night workout on the elliptical for 30min. I woke up this morning I was really hungry and 32ounce smoothie wasn't satisfying. Plus I had an extreme emotional upset and diverted my energy from the fast to getting this painful thing out of my mind. I'd say this mini-feast was pretty successful! I had a stress free weekend so that helped.
