Title: If God is Dead!
Post by: Kerminator
I have always been a free thinker, using my God given intelligence to seek and make determinations as to what is the truth!
If God is Dead; then first why do they who say so keep talking about HIM? If they have come to that conclusion; then just why do they carry on in books and blogs about a supposedly non existent person or thing?
It has always astounded me, how so many people with certain ideas become obsessed with proving something they believe is non existent; is not there! Really, HUH!! I have never had that problem, personally!
Well just for starters, while modern science has much proof on the solar system and have observed how it functions; they do not have any idea why the earth continues to turns and the planets spin around the Sun! They are clueless as to how most of the systems in the known world continue to operate...
Odd, they can say there is no God, yet HIS presence is everywhere... Have you stopped to look lately?
The real dalimia is that most of you who claim there is no God; do not where to look, or exactly who or what you would expect to find in any case! Pathetic and a total loss of any conscienceless or self purpose!
It all comes down to who says!

god is something bigger than what is being filtered through a mere book and doesn't adhere to the exclusivity of man's limited interpretation.
take the personality out of 'god" and perhaps the view widens.
Divine intelligence need not be pegged to a personality, a separate entity.

Thanks, you are absolutely correct; God is beyond our feeble human mind or understanding...
Actually God is Awesome, and only HE is... Use of the word other wise is no where near correct...
We use the personal reference to allow us some frame of reference; it in no way really describes HIM!

My personal feeling is that it's a control and ego issue. If we believe that there is nothing greater than ourselves, we are absolved of all responsibility to remain humble, appreciative, and personally accountable.
One of the examples that I recollect goes as follows:
I'm in an enclosed room with no windows and one door. There is no handle or knob on the door. Suddenly, a handle appears. As this is my only means to escape, wouldn't that handle be interpreted as something greater than myself? Just in the context of this example, wouldn't that handle effectively be considered a god?
Many people balk at the idea of "God," because it's disturbing. The inference that we are not in control is intolerable to many. Just look at how human beings have tried to control natural events. And, when we're reminded of this (hurricane Katrina/Rita, 2005 tsunami, earthquakes in Haiti), the human race cries, "FOUL!" and starts demanding to know why warnings weren't issued so that people could prepare. Prepare for what? To evacuate an entire nation?
I see the light of the sun touching the edges of frozen treetops, and I'm reminded that I am very, very insignificant in this great, vast, and amazing Universe. God, Yahwey, Muhammed, or the Great Creator - they are one and the same and we have lost our ability to feel humble and accept our own human condition.

While humble is part of getting outside of self {the big ME}; it only opens the way to seek God in our life...
The person of God is complex and beyond any complete human comprehension or understanding! Fact!!
Muhammad; never claimed to be God... Only a prophet of Allah!
Yeshua was and did claim to be God or the Son of Almighty God!
