Blog: 40 Day Water Fasting
I have finished day 10 of the fast. My ankles still hurt, but it's much better than yesterday. My ankles are probably hurting because of toxin overload in my joints that needs to be released. The day before my fast I am going to take two capsule of healthy intestinal bacteria to help digestion. Hopefully I start feeling better soon. I know that things need to get ugly before getting better. Fasting is the best way to self heal and let the body do all the work. Our body will breakdown stuff and re-build a new and healthy body.I cannot wait to see the end result of this fast. On day 14 I am going to see how much weight I have lost. I do not drink too much water, I only drink according to thirst to prevent hyperhydration. Overall, everything is good, still staying strong.

Hello,
I'm on day 2 of my 1st water fast. I'm just wondering as well as losing pounds on the scales, can you actually see a physical change in body shape with water fasting? I've been told it's all muscle tissue being lost so although I'll be lighter, I'll still be bulky and won't change dress size. What have you found in your fast??

Hi,on a water fast muscle loss is minimal when the body is in full ketosis mode. I do feel light and I notice my clothes are not tight anymore. I feel like I have lost more inches than weight. When water fasting you do lose weight and less muscle is lost because the body conserves vital tissues and organs. When I started the fast I thought I won't reach even day 7 but I took it a day at a time. Usually after 3-4 days you stop feeling hungry. So stay strong and you will reach your goal. Good luck on you fast.
