Blog: journal of my 30 day juice fast
second milestone yeah! today was another tough day for me. the temptation to join in superbowl activities was high but i got thru it. i had pineapple juice this morning and mc lemondae the rest of the day. tongiht i had soem veggie broth and sipped on herbal tea. i didnt take any oxypowder last night so no BM's today. i thought i could go to the maintenace program after being on it for a week but apparently not. so i ve taken my dose tonight. from past experience i know i need to be having heaps of BM's or i just feel disgusting. im sure tomorrow i will be fine.
i went for a long walk and had some time to think. i realise i have been really negative this fast, i know when i started i was feeling down and thougth the fast would improve my spritits. i also thought my feelings were a direct result of all the stuff i was putting in my body. well today i realised it is more about my life right now and that i really need to make some changes. im just not living how i want to be living. i need to look at my life and play a bigger part in its direction. i dont want to just let things drift along anymore and not be active in making decisions and improvements. its time to work out what i want out of the next few years and beyond and work towards it. not a bad realisation. now i just need to act on it. argghhh!! a fast gives you so many to do lists!!!!
my weight is at 134.5 today which is 10.5 pounds down in two weeks. i'm aiming for 130 but the loss is slow so we will see how i go. things are fitting me better and i can tell i have lost some. size wise i am still a long way off from where i was last year. even though it is only 5 pounds on the scale i can tell its a lot more in reality. i think this is because last year i was really musclely from all the running i was doing. so even though my weight was around 130 i was actually quite small in size. the old muscle ways more than fat thing. well i ran 5 times last week so hopefully this will start to increase the muscle again and i will get back the leanest. at the moment my additional weight is all blubber! i am really enjoying running again. i didnt really give it up i just ran less. and now i am doing some situps and push ups so hopefully that will help tone things up again.
im thinking that wednesday might be my last day of fasting which will take me to 17 days. mainly because i have some plans on the weekend and i want to be able to eat. although another part of me wants to keep going but as i said i am just going one day at a time right now.
