OMG the same thing happened to me!! About 5 days ago I had a tampon in and my husband and I had intercourse. I forgot all about the tampon. Then about 3 days ago I started having this brownish foul smelling discharge!! I thought I had cancer or something. It was so nasty! So I took a shower because I coudlnt stand the smell any longer and found out I had a tampon still inside of me. It was pushed way up there. It had such a foul stench to it. Now I am worried about TSS. I called my gyno and he said not to worry unless I have a fever of 102. I havent felt good the past couple of days so I am worried now.
