One of my main symptoms when I have a flare up of my gall troubles is in fact a very uncomfortable hot flush to the face and a feeling of body heat. My body temperature, however, does not go up particularly, unless the gall attack lasts for days when there is a slight increase.

So I dont think it is necessarily a women's problem specifically.

Perhaps there is some gall activity now that you have started flushing and this is causing the congestion.

I would be interested if anyone knows the metabolic reasons for this symptom.
