Gallstone Cleanse concerns

I have a two centimer gallstone which has been causing me some considerable pain. I saw a surgeon who wants to remove my entire gallbladder. I'd like to try something alternative first. I'd like a little more information prior to trying out my alternative cleanse though.

I've seen a number of gallstone cleanses involving olive oil. I even the saw one that involves olive oil and Classic Coke. I can't imagine how this works but I'm willing to give olive oil a try. Do you know how olive oil flushes gallstones? Also, what's the magical thing about apple juice with regards to gallstones?

My primary concern is that my two centimeter gallstone (which is apparently fairly large) can get caught in the bile duct on its' way out and cause even more serious problems (like a need for pancreatic surgery. I've tried to prevent that problem from happening by purchasing Stone Dissolve Tea from Western Botanicals (http://www.westernbotanicals.com/programsfrm.html).

My other concern is that eating fat causes my Gallstones to act up. I can deal with diarrea but isn't drinking a lot of olive oil going to cause me to be up all night with gallstone pain. The pain from Gallstones can be excruciating.
