multiple myaloma correspondent

I have been diagnosed with multiple myaloma in an advanced stage. This is not the tumor type of cancer that is much more common, but a blood and bone born disease. I have been put on thalidomide and decadron and so far have had no side effects thank God. I would like to correspond with anyone who has had experience with this disease. It is said to be incurable but treatable. So far my oncologist says I am doing just fine, ie; blood count good etc. I'm just two months into this thing and it's all very much of a shock to me. I had a hip replaced and that was when they discovered the cancer. My hip new hip is coming along just fine and I'm not experiencing any bone pain from the cancer, which I have been told I can expect. I am a 73 year old retired veteran living with my wife (my angel) in Florida
