Re: RA - What worked best for you?

Thank you for your detailed reply! I really appreciate enlightening us on the mechanism of the disease. I have been researching on the internet on Rhuematoid Arthritis, but I'm not finding very much information on how the condition is caused and developed. (I did find a lot of take-this-for-that kind of quick-fix advice) I did come across one natural doctor saying that he found the imbalance of gut flora (bad bacteria overpowering good bacteria) being almost always the case in all of his RA patients. Your input on the digestive system being the cause confirms this point, so I'm more convinced. It makes sense that many people had success through prolonged fasting because giving long rest to the GI tract heals it entirely.

For restoring the nervous system, I'll need much more learning in this area... but I appreciate pointing me in the right direction. I can see that restoring hormonal balance can help rebalancing the nervous system.

I had no idea MSM could actually do damage. One natural doctor listed MSM among good supplements to take for RA, so I totally believed it would help rebuild the eroded joint cartlidge. But you're coming from your personal experience, and it's worth looking into this issue. I will do more research on this point.

Thank you once again so much for sharing your knowledge! You gave me a great starting point on researching further so I can do my best in helping my friend.
