Considering a Water Fast

Hello,

I am considering a Water Fast and am currently reading the part of Shelton's book on the topic. (Just started so not far along.)

I have a number of health issues that have not resolved no matter what I do. Some of these include:

-My hormone levels are all low
-Probable lichen sclerosus
-Gut dysbiosis and constipation
-Chronic calf issues that prevent me from running (something I really love)

Questions:

Would it be safe to do a fast with these conditions?

Would it be safe to do this fast unsupervised (I have not been able to find anyone to supervise)?

Will it work to do a fast on filtered water (using a Zero filter) rather than using distilled water? (It would be better for me at this time to not have to pay for a distiller.)

Would this forum be an appropriate place for me to ask questions about anything that might come up while on a fast?

I have had a number of alternative practitioners say that people with adrenal issues should not go on a fast (of any kind) because it only adds more stress to the body. Do people here share that assessment?

Do I need to add electrolytes to my water. (I've read some threads on this but it's not clear to me.)

Finally, I'm pretty normal weight for my height (I'm 5'5" and weigh about 125). Would a Water Fast be a bad idea given this?

Thanks a million. I appreciate your responses.
