Re: Neurological therapy for constipation

Thank you so much for replying! I greatly appreciate it. I think my weariness just comes from a lifelong belief in conventional medicine and not knowing a lot about alternative solutions. He is my first visit to a functional medicine doctor, out of desperation because I was getting nowhere with my GI.

He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and that is evident when he speaks. Unfortunately he kind of lost me when trying to explain! I know that I have no gag reflex, so one thing we will be working on is my vagus nerve. I paid quite a lot of money up front, and I think I'm just curious as to whether therapy sessions can really help with digestion?

I haven't been to any of the therapy sessions yet. I am starting on Monday morning. His credentials are Doctor of NeuroMetabolic Science, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Board Certified Integrative Medicine, Graduate, American Functional Neurology Institute so I'm assuming/hoping he knows what he is doing!

Thank you again!
Tracy
