Castor oil also did not help with my scalp sebaceous cyst at all (nor did black salve or iodine). I suspect that some of the cysts that people are claiming it helped with may be small Acne cysts, which can at times be popped or resolve on their own, rather than large pilar or epidermoid sebaceous cysts, which tend to be harder to get rid of.
