Re: Primal BluePrint Diet

I spent a lot of time reading Mark's website, not books, but I had seen several Paleo and Low Carb cookbooks which are quite similar. They expect you to get many kinds of meat, fish, deli, taste improving ingredients, sauces and so on.

Mark's website provides some of his recipes and photos what other people make themselves for breakfast, this gives some ideas.

I wouldn't eat only store bought chicken, if I could help it, considering what they are feeding them. There was documentary by author of "Omnivore Dilemma", it's horrible and not healthy for us.

Occasionally there could be turkey at 99 cents/Lb, duck for $15, cornish game hens at Asian markets on sale, beef, lamb and goat at $1.99-$2.99/Lb, beef liver better from farmers market, grass fed $3-4/Lb, free range eggs - much more satiating. Bone broth and beef stew with bone marrow, by Weston Price and Ramiel Nagel. Add whitefish, trout, salmon when they are on sale, canned sardines or tuna as a quick snack. Pemmican or protein bars are either labor intensive or expensive.

Consider extra virgin olive and coconut oil as a healthy fats and fermented fish oil with butter oil as a nutritional supplement. And fermented foods as a source of live probiotics.

I'm following more strict, lower carb diet, and it works. 10 Lb weight loss, no digestion problems, no hypoglycemia and constant hunger with a full stomach.

If affordability is an issue, there are articles on Robb Wolf website about Paleo Diet shouldn't be expensive with photographs of what purchases last for what time.
