Distilled water: Could one drink non-distilled water in-between?

I have young children (between 2 and 10 years) and elder family members (around 75 years).

We want to start using distilled water and have never done that. My question:

- After we start drinking it, is it possible to have either bottled or even tap water for a day or two? Or it would lead to body's immune reaction to lead to fever or any other adverse impact?

Family members have to often travel to other locations, while they could try to carry distilled water with them, sometimes some travel might be unanticipated.

One of the family members have hypothyroid and mild arthritis.

Appreciate your time to read.
