Communique with my sister, my need to pray more and claiming grace.

Hi (deducted)!
I'm planning to travel to Ithaca, NY in a month by land and could probably go through Chicago to visit with you a couple hours if you want.
In regards to your sharing with me about the matter that you had originally mentioned to me last December, I'd like you to know that I'm no longer insisting that you do that with me. I don't want it to be an obstacle for us in relating to each other.
It's been a long time for me not seeing you and communicating with you dear sister and I'd very much like to extend an opportunity for us to see each other again.

As you can see here there was no mention of my offer to visit. My first thought was that I could assume that she isn’t interested in a visit from me and that she didn’t want to mention that at all in her reply, however, I prefer not to have to make assumptions about what other people think and so I wrote the following reply:

Are you open to the possibility of my coming through Chicago so I can see you?
I will have easy Internet access while I'm still in (deducted) for the next couple weeks. If need be I can update you on when I plan to "pull the (computer) plug".

It has been five years and nine months since I last saw my sister (when I came through on my way back traveling from the East Coast. I wrote a letter to her (possibly a couple years ago) that I would like to see her at least once a year and also asked if she could consider including my Northern California location in her next Southern California visit to which she replied that it could be possible. Now it seems that whatever level of communications we had then are now diminished (as of about last December when she mentioned having a perspective on a difference in the parental support we each received). That was the issue that I finally wrote her last week to say (essentially) I’m letting go of it now. It appears that she has agreed in her reply however, the communication has changed. I don’t feel the openness, closeness, and friendliness now, as I have known before. Something has changed and I believe only my sister can tell me what it is.
Communication for me is life! The challenges that I experience coming up in the communication process are challenges to the life of the relationship. All my sister has to do is nothing and the life of our relationship approaches that of nothing, at least on the outer planes. I thank God there is still the Inner World/Spirit and that I can pray! I have been praying and I am realizing as of yesterday that I need to pray more! ...
