The recipe box in the cupboard...
Upon looking at the odd assortment of receipts in the cupboard; it struck me that this was really just a part of my road of life...

Well as I stood alone in the kitchen Sunday morning alone, looking at a small metal 3 X 5, filing card box, full of many old and odd recipes... Then it struck me that this was actually a time capsule...
As I looked through the box sorted by my wife into different categories, I pulled up the different pieces of paper... one at a time, there were about two hundred items! Some were cut or torn from packages of food containers, some were typed, some were hand written, some had the name of the person who make the entry, some were simple and just a few words.... But they all had one theme, they showed that someone cared... Someone who wanted to care and share their life....
I saw the " Angel Biscuit " recipe from Big Mama, my dearest Grand Mother, who had helped raise me, and instill many of my core values... There was the " York Shire Pudding" receipt that I remembered my mother making on those special holidays... Then there was the many recipes from friends, and some from others I did not know... There were some of my wife's favorite recepiets... Her " Treasure cookies" And even one of my own " Kermie's Kookies" and one of my favorites " Key Lime pie..." But they all were a testament to the time and talent of the people who took time to share their knowledge...
But through it all, I saw love and concern... This is what I really found in the receipt box that morning... My mind went back over the years, and I saw many faces and people there.... It was part of my unusual road of life...
So look around you; and you will see many persons who, you have met on your road way through life also, dear friend... Remember time does not just about talent, it requires effort and concern also... So much effort and concern surround us all, and this care or love is the dust covers the pages of your life...
P.S. if anyone wants some of the receipts let me know and I will copy and post some...
See Ya... Kerminator
