Gorgeous New York weather!
60 degrees and climbing..frost is OVER baby!
Date: 3/30/2006 10:35:13 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2869 times I feel like spending the whole day in the garden. I've cleaned the pond pump and turned it on. My beloved cherbunkins are eating quite greedily. When it gets warm enough, the pond algae will bloom and then I'll completely empty it and get down in there and clean it toroughly. Everything has meaning. Everything has purpose. This is the last time I'll be doing this. My mother is going to continue the pondkeeping and I'm taking the smallest fish with me. My new home is going to be a challenge since there are a lot of wild animals and I don't know how deep I'll be able to dig the pond. Plus there are a lot of trees around. Anyway, I feel so connected with the earth and with God in the garden. Makes sense. The foreparents of the human race started life in a garden and God HIMSELF enjoyed being in a GARDEN. Up on the livingroom windowsill are some cucumber seedlings in a yogurt cup. I'm going to plant my Starbucks garden soon. I've saved all the cups of coffee from Starbucks and am going to use them to plant seeds in. Less waste and it'll be a monument to my coffee addiction *LOL*
Frost period is over for us 7 zoners!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO! I wil be MORE excited next year because I'll be settled in and have WAY MORE space to garden in the mountains. Oh I can't wait. Tire gardens, outdoor wheatgrass, tomato jungles...My fiance doesn't need to worry about being depressed about money. Doesn't he know I'm just marrying him for his land space????? ;O)
I'm off to volunteer at New Life Magazine. Here's where I will be this weekend http://www.newlifeexpo.com
