The Tree of Life and the Law
Tree of Life? The image of the Tree in spiritual traditions
is touched upon here in this teaching from Edmond
Bordeaux Szekely.

Edmond Bordeuax Szekely.
This year is the 100 anniversary of his birth.
Hee passed over in 1979.
This small teaching is from a writing called
"Moses, Prophet of the Law" Lesson !
This word, 'Law," is found in the esoteric apocrypha
of the Essene traditions, but inthe exoteric, official texts
of the Churches the word "Lord" has been substiuted for "Law."
In later Essene traditions the abstract idea of the Law was always
conveyed by the concrete picttures of a tree.
This symbolism was useed in other great teachings.
Buddha became conscious of the Four Nobel Truths under a mango* Tree;
Newton's awareness of the law of gravity was connected with an apple tree;
and Moses, similarly, received his great revelation under a small tree in the desert,
the Burning Bush.
The tree has thus become a universal symbol, and in the Essene Traditions
it was known as the Tree of Life, representing the Law itself.
