"Conventional science is still a long way from understanding how God created (man) in His heavenly workshops. Only the greatest clairvoyants and Initiates have been able to see the reality of something so remote, and they tell us that in their essence, (the individual expressions of mankind are) actually without form. They consist of currents of energy and luminous emanations, and those currents and emanations have gradually condensed to form the physical organs we know today.
So, our stomach, liver, spleen, brain, eyes, ears, legs and arms are the materialization of forces that flow on a subtler plane. When (we) behave unreasonably, it is as though (we) were gradually extinguishing (our) lights – that is, (our) virtues and forces – on these higher planes, and then the organs that correspond to those virtues and forces begin to fail. This explains people’s physical health problems: they fall ill because their lights dim and go out on high.[7]*

The above quote comes from a little booklet: "Steps Toward Inner Peace" By: Peace Pilgrim.[5]
Comment: There are numerous religious, spiritual, esoteric, mystical, magical, and other ancient traditions that speak about the parts of "Man" that include three-fold, four-fold, five-fold, etc. up to twelve-fold and more. All of these can be interesting however (like so many things) best to start as simple as possible (IMO) and if need be extend from there. Starting to contemplate the truth of these "two natures" (in what may be a possible learning/discovery process) is (IMO) starting "as simple as possible."

Comment: "strategies of behavior that promise the best return" - could be likened unto what the bottom line of corporations are all about! In other words we quintessentially "incorporate" ourselves as a "person" that can be likened unto the fictitious "person" of a corporation. The problem is that this "person" is not who and what we truly are! It is actually another entity that essentially occupies us and possibly possesses us!

Inspired to search the title of this book (that was firstly associated with a book with the same title by Bernard Jensen) and discovered a couple other books with the same title! The above is a quote from one of these "other books."
