Hans Stossel (1959) expresses man's modern need in this way:
It is essential today to come to a deeper, spiritual, cosmic understanding, and that this alone is the necessity of our age and the need of this century should be revelation. This should be a time when man stands with a greater knowledge (not only a belief) of how to be at one with the universe.
Einstein (1954) talked about the "mystical" experience of "feeling of true understanding: insight and the "religious" feeling of true understanding:
The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the power of all true science. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms——this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religiousness.[4]*

“You know we all have a number of senses. … What is far less well-known is that these senses are connected with each other. What was so totally new and original about the contributions of Rudolf Steiner was the idea that these senses constitute an order, or, to use an old, and apt, expression of Pythagoras: together they form a cosmos. A cosmos is a well-ordered whole. …”[3]
"The word cosmos often suggested especially "the universe as an embodiment of order and harmony."[2]

Comment:
This might possibly add another perspective to "Cosmos And Psyche" (By Richard Tarnas).

Tommy By: The Who can now possibly be reviewed in light of the Twelve Senses. This blog-writer senses that "Our Twelve Senses" (Social Ecology & Change) by Albert Soesman, Jakob M Cornelis would be a significant light for the review process.

"...
Chinese tradition maintains that the energies of chi originate in the bones. So it is interesting that in 2000, stem cells (the undifferentiated primary cells of the body) were discovered in originate in the bone marrow. Dr. Eva Mezey of the U.S. National Institute of Health has found that they then mutate into immune cells and thus remain 'un-attacked' by the body's defenses as they migrate through the body to the brain, where they dedifferentiate as neurons. This adds to the evidence that contravenes the previously held assumption by neuroscientists that we are born with a certain number of neurons that progressively die as we grow older. Instead the process of regeneration continues throughout our lives and has been found to be responsive to our willingness to learn, change and grow in emotional, mental, and spiritual maturity."[1]

Comment: Thank God for "regeneration"! Without it I might not have been able to function as well as I have since the end of the 60s!
I find the relationship between regeneration and "our willingness to learn, change and grow in emotional, mental, and spiritual maturity" to be a most wonderful and wondrous thing! This is what I dedicate my days to every morning asap after I wake up. I call it "natural expressions of miracles" and I think of the "change" factor (mentioned in the above quote) especially in terms of the mental realm - in every thought. That is where miracles can be born!
