You or Someone You Know Is Into Baseball
A message offering real 'food for thought' (not hot dogs) based on "home plate".

It's been about twenty years since this blog-writer last sat in the bleachers to watch a little league game that his lady's son was playing in. If it wasn't for the personal connection he wouldn't have attended. Prior to that it was probably another twenty-eight years since he was at (what was then known as) Wrigley Field in Chicago for a Cubs game. In other words he's not a great fan of baseball.
Nevertheless he accepts the popularity of baseball throughout America. "In 1846, the Knickerbockers played the first official game of baseball against a team of cricket players, beginning a new, uniquely American tradition."[1]
Given this popularity this writer can imagine that there may be a lot of people who can probably relate to this story based on "home plate."[2]
This may be another way of saying: "Always Do Your Best" which is the fourth of "The Four Agreements" that this writer has blogged about here at "Son of Truth" before.
Just added the following comment to "Beliefnet.com" (with minor edits here):
I wish I could also read personal accounts of people who were inspired by the message. The first arena I think of is that of government. I also think of schools however the "widening of the plate" in schools is most largely consequential to educational standards set by government.
However, IMO Americans have lost "home plate" altogether in regards to a standard for government. Americans no longer have a true standard of American Law as per the Organic Laws of the United Staes of America. That's because there are four Organic Laws (as seen in the front pages of the "United States Code") yet for all practical purposes government denies the validity of these four Laws and emphasizes a reliance just upon the last Organic Law: The Constitution of September 17, 1787 which ironically was never fully adopted as required by written oaths to "support" it! Consequentially this fact underscores the validity of the preceding constitution (the second Organic Law) known as "The Articles of Confederation" (and followed by the third Organic Law: "Ordinance of 1787: The Northwest Territorial Government").
Without knowledge and understanding of all four Organic Laws (beginning with the first Organic Law: The Declaration of Independence") Americans do not know their Lawful "Home Plate" standard! And without this knowledge Americans are unable to hold government to the high standards necessary to keep our Amercian "ship of state" on our "chartered course" to avoid collision/s and the calamities found in many troubled waters.[2]

Inspired with the thought of teaching the four Organic Laws based on "The Four Agreements."
