Paul Stamets, Mycologist, has led to me becoming 'Bemushroomed'
One of the highlights of the Natural Product Expo West (#expowest) was spending time with Paul Stamets, the author of "Mycellium Running." One of the most innovative thinkers I have run across in recent years, Paul has opened my eyes to the important role that fungi play.
The cover of "Mycelium Running" says: How Muchrooms Can Help Save the World. I am so grateful to have been turned on to this wonderful world of Mushrooms in the last five weeks. I cannot believe it took me so long to really get a sense of the importance of Mushrooms.
Paul's talk at the Natural Product Expo West was truly evolutionary, and revolutionary to my headspace. It was so rich, I had to leave the room a couple of times, just to take in all he had to say.
The mycelium, that Paul describes as a Nature's Internet are truly here to clean up our messes. My own interpretation is that they are embedded with a natural intelligence of wholeness, and appear to adapt to bring order and balance wherever they are present.
The mushroom is the fruit of the mycelium, this web of creation that supports life.
I have been using a few new products in recent weeks in hopes that I could come out of an intense Winter of low immunity. MyCommunity, combined with Cesar Torres' Cold and Flu Remedy, and Mivita Minerals, a liquid supplement that I learned about years ago from Dr. Bernard Jensen, seem to be transforming my bowel health.
I learn toward IBS conditions, and have gone years at times with diarrhea-like symptoms. My elimination since I started this regimen is transformed.

The Host Defense products came on my Radar when I heard Dr. Andrew Weil M.D. speak in early February at the Scripps Natural Supplement Conference. Dr. Weil described the supplements he used. Host Defense was one of them. Then, Mark Blumenthal, the head of the American Botanical Council, also at that meeting (an old ally) pointed me in the direction of Paul Stamens.
It was a highlight of the Natural Product Expo West 2013 to spend some time with this remarkable man, and then to hear him speak.

Paul uses the word "Bemushroomed," in his book :Mycellium Running." This has begun for me.
I met Chris Young at a mushroom faire on the same day that I started to take Paul's MyCommunity Formula of 17. Our Oyster Mushrooms are now growing in a jar that I got from Chris.
These oyster mushrooms are sold by Suzie's Farm at the Hillcrest FM and other locations.
Paul has a whole assortment of mushroom cultures that you can grow. I am going to be getting some soon and will record on the Plant Your Dream Blog my own journey as I, and others in my homebased Enchanted Garden Intentional Community become Bemushroomed.
