These Authors "Should Play By The Rules"

A lot of scientific facts are given without documentation of sources, ... since they are trying to pass it off as science, they should play by the rules."

For instance - on page 41 there is a "research study" that is mentioned that states "8,000 people who choose the vegan diet ... has shown that they had sufficient vitamin B12 ... and it goes on from there yet there is no cite for this study! I contacted the publisher and requested the cite and they did not have one! With no verified study the claim that "vegans have no deficiencies" that these authors have made is indigestible! Is there anyone that can show me the study these authors have alluded to?":
