:Let's Move!" National Campaign.
Now is the time to move,

Nature's Original Technology,

volunteer organizing the two day Cultivating Food Justice
Event from City Heights venues.
Amy Lint, who toured First Lady Michelle Obama
at the New Roots Community Farm in City Heights
April 15,2010 is one of the grassroots organizers of
the Cultivating Food Justice Conference, as is
her husband, Malaki Obado. Amy and Malaki
are organizers of Grow Strong,
a non-profit that aims to uphold sustainability farm
practices and wisdom in Kenya, in the same village where
President Obama's father was born.

March 11, the day this footage was recorded,
500 Organic industry leaders, from a broad spectrum
of points of view,
filled a room at the Natural Product Expo West
#expowest. Walt Robb called out to find commonground.
Gary Hirshberg underscored the importance of
the historic moment when we need to come together
in the next 18 months to reshape the next election
and determine who will be our next president.
On that same day, March 18, an Earthquake hit Japan.
People everywhere around the world were reminded
that we are being asked to stand up now for
Nature's Original Technology.
Genetically Engineered seeds, and the mistaken
route to provide electricity through nuclear power
are both assaults on the future of humanity.
This is an issue of democracy. We can longer no longer allow
those who govern us to be a handful of decision makers
who live distant from the beat of nature.
It is for each of us, in our own homes and backyards,
to begin again a nation of gardeners.
That is what our project Organic Uprising is all about.
Now is the time for Beet Keepers, Return!
Through simply joining a bit of our own food,
an organic beet in a pot, a bit of organic alfalfa seed,
we can remember what the earth is asking of us now.
