OUR HOME
THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL AND UNUSUAL NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
BORDERING A CANYON
"Keep the Beet"? This is a place to regain your beat with
Nature. One of the garden projects that is alive here
is growing a beet in a pot. The land is here to inspire
others to return to gardening.
Are you looking for a natural environment in the city?
Does it interest you to live near San Diego State University
on a 1/3 acre parcel rich in plant life and the possibility
of reconnecting with the beat of nature?
This is a group living situation
called the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
The house has been
a shared living situation since 1974.
We are looking for a person who
would enjoy the experience of having their own room and personal space
and living in this very special environment.
No smoking, drinking, or drugs.
Lots of books on the natural healing arts.
Access to great food from local organic farmers.
Numbers of people like to cook natural foods.
There are vegetarians as well as carnavores living here,
but we all get along.
Mainly we love to eat healthy food.
This is a place to reconnect with the land and hear birds,
and breathe some fresh canyon air.
We are learning to live together with each other and the earth.
We want to create a safe and comfortable environment
where all can do their own individual work
in a safe and supportive environment.
This is a place to come plant your dreams with others.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
First and last month rent required.
Month to month. 30 day notice to vacate.
Financial responsibility is also important.
A last month's rent is also asked.
We would like a housemate
who would like to stay for a while.
Edmond Bordeaux Szekely quote
on Essene Gardening Practices
"One of the reasons for their unusual success was that they did not
consider agriculture or gardening as work. It was to them a means of
studying, and learning to understand, the laws of nature and the forces
of nature. From the time of Zoroaster, who taught his disciples the
laws of the cosmos through plant and growing things, it has been an
Essene tradition that gardening is educational and a key to the understanding
of the entire universe." ~ Edmond Bordeaux Szekely

The land itself has an intention.
It is to give those who live here an opportunity
to reconnect with the beat of nature through
exploring cooperative living between us and with the
earth. The land is rich in nature spirits and
the potential to be inspired in a garden environment
that calls for a lot of work.

Many people have come here over the years
to learn to ground their vision with seeds and plants.
Some get into the philosophy of the Enchanted Garden
and being a Beet Keeper in an age when we are being
asked to turn our beat around with nature. Many people
here just do our own thing, but we like living in a house
with others.
These are shifting times.
Do you feel called back to keep the beat with nature
through learning to grow a bit of your own food?
That's what Keep The Beet is all about.
