We're All Yankees Now!
Appeal from the Weston A. Price Foundation to support two raw dairies that IMO were attacked by agencies of the federal government that were operating under color of law. Chef Jem on the food origin of "Yankee".
Date: 11/11/2010 2:01:49 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 29331 times Raw milk is traditional food for many Americans and many mothers who have been nourishing their children with raw milk have defended their right to have the food of their choice! Now the rest of us Yankees need to step up to the plate and stand together for greater food freedom!
The attacks against raw milk across America have been met with a ground swell of community support, especially in certain states like California (where raw milk has always been legal) and as Mark McAfee has reported this wholesome traditional food is virtually the life blood for many and therefor many mothers, who have seen the benefits of real wholesome milk extended to their children, have had the mother bear defense and protection instinct rising up when the nourishment of their cubs have been threatened to be banned. I believe that most mothers know this instinct!
Now all the rest of us Yankees need to rise up to our senses, our higher instincts, regarding the attack on raw cheese that has been launched against small family farmers. The Weston A. Price Foundation has published an informative notice on this and if you agree with them as I do, that our food freedom is being challenged now, then you may also agree that this is a perfect opportunity to rise up and be a true Yankee! Support food freedom where it begins on the farm with this traditional food.
