Real Medicine Through Whole Food Energy Systems
Excerpt from the interview with Mark McAfee of Organic Pastures Dairy in "Raw Milk: The Whole Truth"
Date: 3/23/2010 4:22:37 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1995 times "You know, when microbes suffer, in our bodies, we suffer. When they stress, we stress. When they die, we die. I’ll tell you something, there are some great studies that
have just come out in the last two years, showing, hey there are 750 trillion bacteria that inhabit our bodies. We are more bacterial than we are mammalian.
Why are we scared of bacteria? Why do we fear bacteria? It’s the best part of us. It is what we are; its what spaceship Earth is made of. And without it we can’t interact with food, we can’t nourish ourselves, it’s a critical part of the whole detritus system that works in our gut, just like it does in the soil, to nourish plants, the same thing happens in our guts to nourish us.
When we eat, we don’t eat food to feed us. We feed bacteria that feed us. We have best friends that are bacteria, and we don’t get that, because we are addicted to antibiotics
which kill off bacteria good or bad. We are addicted to long-shelf-life foods, which are dead, sterile, don’t have good or bad bacteria (or anything). And guess what, preservatives are put in those foods which actively kill off the biodiversity of gut bacteria, so we can’t function properly as humans.
And what do we see as a result? Rampant, I’m talking rampant ten-X rampant immune depression, with the associated chronic diseases in our country. Diabetes, obesity, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, asthma, allergies, arthritis, osteoporosis, are all associated
with this issue. This underlying immune system lack of the building blocks of life; the foundational foods being able to be digested and absorbed properly with bacteria and
enzymes all working together.
A whole food energy system is not in our country’s culture. And this is a critical, huge problem. And it cannot be fixed by modern medicine. It can be fixed by good organic
farming practices and connecting with the food chain closely. It’s a simple fix, but extremely complex because we have come so far from that with our commercialization of
foods and our industrialization of foods and our distribution systems which require long shelf lives.
That’s why I’m so overjoyed by the fact that when we go to Farmers Market, every food there is a whole food. And our (raw dairy) food is a whole food along with it. And if
you put it all together, and you will thrive, thrive from those foods. When we go to a regular store, its like . . . its famine!"

Re: "preservatives in foods which actively kill off the biodiversity of gut bacteria" no wonder people are not absolutely outraged about GMO foods (which when consumed can permanently continue their pesticide manufacturing in the guts of those people and animals that consume those foods) their guts are already compromised! Then there is the psycho-emotional level of not having the "guts" to make whatever changes that are required to recover a healthy gut.
The gut is a second brain and when not properly nourished that "brain" doesn't function to it's full potential. Human Design (and a couple of the other systems synthesized in the Human Design revelation) speaks of Inner Authority that is not in the head or the mind but deep in the body and for many of us the gut is the location for that Inner Authority! Where is your Inner Authority?
