We have all heard the word sin...  But exactly is sin?

 Then there is the Absolute or Original Sin! 

  What is all this sin stuff anyway?

  Let's look at what some of the greatest thinkers in history say:

  " Sin by definition is transgression against the Divine Law of the Principles of Morality!"  a True-ism

  " ..... The principle of sin is a person's self-centered desire to secure his or her independence against (or from) God! "

  " Sin has always been an ugly word, but it has been remade in a new sense over the past half century.  It has been made not only ugly but passe'.  People are no longer sinful, they are only immature, or underprivileged, or freighted, or more particularly just sick!   " Sin is putting of oneself in the center, where God alone should be.  Sin is acting from the self instead of from God.  It is falling short of the will and glory of God.  Often it is more than that - it is setting ones own will against God's will;  consciously { Where guilt is involved} or unconsciously { When the sinful consequences are equally disastrous}! 
 Then: " St Paul says that the wages of sin is death, not that God condemns us to death for our sins, but that sin kills the life of the spirit!  Sin is a sickness that leads to spiritual death unless it is cured by forgiveness and the soul kept healthy by Grace!                                         George Appleton, Journey for a Soul.

  i.e. Sin is opposition against God and His Will ! 

  Once we run our life with-out God; the progression into depravity and base desires accelerates;  which degrades our eternal life, through sin...

  When will we learn that we are all  really Nothing in the grand scheme of things; therefore how can we ever hope to achieve Anything of Great Value with out the mercy and grace of Almighty God!! 

  Think long and hard on this dear friends!

   It is your eternal life that is at stake!
