This petition, that I am thinking of starting, will aim with the support of neigbhors who have private property along our Arosa Canyon, to raise the bar of education on Round Up, the Glysophate product that is increasingly being implicated in cancer in humans, and the destruction of healthy soil fertility, and bringing danger to flora and fauna alike.

I was shocked to find this article yesterday about the compelling health
issues associated with Round Up and Gylsophate spraying.
If needed, I will initiate a petition among neighbors to declare our Arosa Canyon a
Pesticide-Free Area to protect soil, animal, plant, and human health.

Can Mulched Arundo Donax Sprout?
Conclusions
1. While very small stem and root fragments can germinate under laboratory conditions, in the field very few actually do.
2. The numbers of resprouts are so few and small that pesticides are not needed for their control and they can easily be collected by hand.
3. Even though resprouts are few, they do occur and so arundo mulch is only recommended on sites where follow-up monitoring is planned.

Got that question on my mind as Sylvia is saying to dispose of the Arundo Donax out of some concern that if we mulch our Arundo Donax and put it back on the root system that the chips will sprout.

Fran, I am in a massive growth spurt and doing real well considering that I am being asked to do more than ever. Someone has hacked into my new Plant Your Dream site. They keep going into my new plant your dream site and adding these Url codes to the bottom of various pages periodically. I imagine this is being down with some program. Can you come up with a solution? Is there a way to stop this? Is is annoying. At least they are not messing with my html.

Massive progress today, Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Worked on two major blogs and in and out worked on this draft.
I am also pleased with a draft I did to launch Andrew Blume.
I would like to do a flyer to distribute to the neighbors.

This Plant Your Dream Blog was inspired by the work in Ojai to create a pesticide free zone. I am in the middle of writing an email about our Overgrowth Clean Up. The idea of a petition to prohibit the use of Round Up and Glysophate
in the new Arosa Canyon Nature Preserve came to mind. Then, inspired ideas came about Andrew Blume and what that could mean to our Overgrowth Clean up.

Sad News--Gary Cunningham has died,
He worked at Goldmine Natural Foods for many years.
I called Goldmine Natural Foods today to get some of the miso buckets I will want to use for our exhibit at the Pacific Symposium 2011 and for my Keep The Beet Project. I generally get this from Gary Cunningham.
The new receptionist said that Gary did work there anymore.
Gary Cunningham would help me get this pots. He would deliver them.David Baker, the new Director of Operations shared with me the sad news that Gary Cunningham died a few months ago. Dave Baker said he had a quick bout with cancer and succumbed. I have to take this in.
