BIOSMART was a sponsor of the San Diego Earth Fair
April 22, 2010.
Christina Russo came down and set up a booth.
This was the first time we met.
Christina Russo met up with Keep the Beet Media Star,
The World’s First Talking Beet Plant at the San Diego
State University Earth Day.
Biosmart provides the 4 oz portion cups that
I use with the kids to get plant Beet Seeds and get them
reinvolved with the Earth.
In light of the conditon in the Gulf, is is pressing
need to get ourselves back into good standing
with the earth.
Planting a seed in a pot, and a larger beet root in a pot
is the beginning of regaining an awareness of ourselves
as gardeners.

Vertical growing of organic food without soil.
Jill Richardson pointed this out.
This would be an intresting alternative
to pesticide driven produce.
It is not organic by my definition of
the word organically grown.
Organically grown is used natural elements,
the sun, air, water, and mainly the soil
intelligence to give the foods what they need.

Wrote a draft of an important article this morning.
I am not sure it came out exactly as I would like,
likely it has too much, as does many of the things I
write.
”The Message of the Gulf” could be a very important piece
of writing. I sense it would benefit from having a good
editor. In all likelihood, if I partnered with an editor,
many of the writings I have on the shelf now, would
be out earning their own way in the world.
I was looking for a quote that comes to mind from
”The Wheel of Health.” I have not found it yet.

A Gulf is a kind of Gap.
The Gap that needs fixing right now
is between our ears. We have fallen
out of sync with the beat of nature.
There are solutions. The solutions
that will work need to be earth grounded.
Begin with the soil. Begin to grow something,
a bit of our food.
This can lead to a return to the garden
and seeing ourselves as a gardener of the
earth.
The Gulf: What is its message?
We need a moment of awakening
that brings us back into community
with the earth and other species,
to the very soul of existence.
Begin healing the Gulf now
from the ground up because
The Earth and the Soul are
Soilmates. Without soil,
the Soul has no place to root.
With fertile soil, we have
earth of our very own to
treasure. Living soil is a growing
medium, both for our personal growth
and for growing a healthy planet.
