Christian Epiphany 18 y
I died in a car accident many years ago and somehow returned again in my body as a fundamentally changed human being. I could no longer sing the army marching songs of my peers... "We are going to rape, kill, pillage burn... We are going to rape, kill, pillage burn...and eat babies...rape, kill, pillage burn..." I could no lomger say, "Nuke 'em til' they glow"
At least, I could no no longer sing outloud except in disgust what I sang with a smirk before I died, met God, and returned to my body.
I left my body as a cold blooded killer but today I am a pacifist...why? All I know is that I didn't want to kill anyone
any more.
This Marine says it in a way that every American should know on a very basic level. If you think soldiers are a different kind of people who must do evil to protect you from evil, please think again. If you are an American and believe in the idealized sense of goodness of America then I hope you will please visit the link below.

Peace is Patriotic
I stole this quote;
Hermann Goering put his finger on it in 1946, not long before he committed suicide. Gustav Gilbert, an intelligence officer, interviewed him in his jail cell at Nuremberg during the war crimes trials. The transcripts of these interviews were published in 1947 in Gilbert’s Nuremberg Diary. Gilbert said to Goering that in a democracy the people have some say through their elected representatives and that in the US only Congress can declare war. Goering’s recorded reply was: ”That is all well and good, but voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the biddi ... read more
Iraq War Deserters in Canada 18 y
The Sunday Times August 27, 2006
Report
You wouldn’t catch me dead in Iraq
Scores of American troops are deserting — even from the front line in Iraq. But where have they gone? And why isn’t the US Army after them? Peter Laufer tracked down four of the deserters
They are the US troops in Iraq to whom the American administration prefers not to draw attention. They are the deserters – those who have gone Awol from their units and not returned, risking imprisonment and opprobrium.
When First Lieutenant Ehren Watada of the US Army, who faced a court martial in August, refused to go to Iraq on moral grounds, the newspapers in his home state of Hawaii were full of letters accusing him of “treason”. He said he had concluded that the war is both morally wrong and a horrible breach of American law. His participation, he stated, would make him party to “war crimes”. Watada is just one conscientious objector to a war that has polarised America, arguably more so than even the Vietnam war.
It is impossible to put a precise figure on the number of American troops who have l ... read more

Bob Dylan: Blowing in the Wind 18 y
Blowing in the Wind
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, ’n’ how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, ’n’ how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,
The answer i ... read more
The hand that feeds 18 y
NINE INCH NAILS LYRICS
The Hand That Feeds
You’re keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you’re told
But inside your heart it is black and it’s hollow and it’s cold
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?
What if this whole crusade’s
A charade
And behind it all there’s a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the ... read more

Anyone who has a child should tell their children their are men who hurt children and they justify murder by calling it war. Don't send your children to murder other people's children. Wars kill children for men in corporate boardrooms and roudtable discussions to maximize their profits and control over mankind. There is one solution to war. Do not participate in them and bring your children up to hate war. This song is a tribute to the killers who murder children and call it war.

One Tin Soldier
Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago,
’Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley-folk below.
On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone,
And the valley-people swore
They’d have it for their very own.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won’t be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

Our children are dying 18 y
and it falls on deaf ears. There is a growing disconnect from reality in America today? The bullets and bombs we pay for with taxes collected for every appliance and new car we buy.... or the triple taxes we pay for a gallon of gas pays for the bombs and bullets...the depleted uranium munitions...and a vast array on men whose mission in life is to cause other human beings misery.
Kids of today are playing their bloody video games and how they play these games is how they measure their self-worth...and we as parents do nothing to stop them. Where can children learn peace when their lives are consumed with killing others in their violent alter ego? I believe every video game should show who really dies in war...1 soldier dies for every 10 women and children. This is the reality of war. For every level they rise in their game, our children should see one hundred photos of the women and children of the collateral damage they have caused.
Hitler on war 18 y
"In starting a waging a war, it is not right that matters but victory."
-- Adolf Hitler, quoted in William Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
"If the German people in its historic development had possessed that herd unity [defined here by Hitler as racial solidarity] which other peoples enjoyed, the German Reich today would doubtless be mistress of the globe. World history would have taken a different course, and no one can distinguish whether in this way we would not have obtained what so many blinded pacifists today hope to gain by begging, whining and whimpering: a peace, supported not by the palm branches of tearful, pacifist female mourners, but based on the victorious sword of a master people, putting the world into the service of a higher culture."
-- Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, p. 396
Jean-Paul Sartre on war 18 y
"When the rich wage war, it is the poor who die."
-- Jean-Paul Sartre, Le Diable et le bon Dieu.
Herbert Hoover on war 18 y
"Older men declare war. But it is the youth who must fight and die."
-- Herbert Hoover, speech, Republican National Convention
George Bernard Shaw about war

"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it."
