A Curiosity Exercise Write down 50 questions if you can. You can try hitting 30 if 50 is way too much. They can be anything from “How can I become rich?” to “Does the Universe have an edge and if so what is beyond it?” Just write down all the questions that come to mind, all the things that you would love to know the answers to. Don’t stop until you’ve got the 50 or whatever number you settled on. Look through the questions and notice if any dominant themes emerge. Love Never Fails

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (NIV84) ”Love is patient, love is kind” is part of a teaching on spiritual gifts. The purest and highest of all God’s gifts of the Spirit is the grace of divine love. All the other gifts of the Spirit that Christians may exercise lack value a ...   read more

Why do some people bounce back from adversity and misfortune? And Why do others fall apart? Resilience make all the difference. Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress. “The Things which hurt,” Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Instruct.” “The human capacity for burden is like bamboo- far more flexible than you’d ever believe at first glance ” says Jodi Picoult. By: Michelle Hunter ** Recently: My neighbors were just out walking their dogs. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said she wanted to be President someday. Reflect on Your Learning by Writing *** Learn how to expand your knowledge base by reading and interface with known intelligent people! You soak up a ton of information and patterns, and you can put that into action, but when you sit down and reflect on what you’ve learned, and try to share that with others (as I’m doing right now), you force yourself to think deeply, to synthesize the knowledge and to organize it, much as you do when you teach it to others. Blogging is a great tool for reflection and sharing what you’ve learned, even if you don’t hope to make a living at it. And it’ ...   read more
