WE are calling all of you who care about the Great Mother to take sacred action.
Here are the facts, disturbing devastating and real:
The Deepwater Horizon rig exploded April 20, setting into motion one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history. (Although as of this posting, July 18, 2010, the well is capped, there is controversy about whether or not the cap will need to be removed, or if there are further leaks of oil into the Gulf http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_gulf_oil_spill).
According to government estimates, somewhere between 94 million and 184 million gallons have spilled into the Gulf.
One gallon of oil causes 250,000 gallons of water to be so toxic, it cannot support life
No need to feel helpless or powerless anymore. No time to sit back and blame others for our disasters. You can Connect to what is happening in the Gulf by gathering in community to pray. Every prayer helps, so bring your children, teenagers and elders. This is a world family affair.
What can we do? We can protest or pray. We are being called to gather communities all over the world to send healing and prayers to the waters everywhere. These requests are coming fast and furious from our world spiritual leaders.

This full moon is powerful! It calls in Quan Yin, Goddess of Compassion and Yemaha Goddess of the Ocean and protector of all those who live in it. It is also a herb moon. Dreamers have seen offerings of herbs (medicine) to the ocean for healing. So please bring herbs (medicine) as an offering.
We will be supported by musicians, healers, and artists and YOU! It is time for prayer, healing and sacred action for our Great Mother Ocean.

Attended the July 25 event in Venice Beach--Wonderful gathering of about 40 people. We chanted, sang, meditated our Blessings for Healing the Waters of the World, with special focus on the Waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
We walked en masse down the the Water's edge, continuously chanting, and gave offerings of sage and other herbs to Mamma Watta/Yemaja (Yoruba Goddess of the Ocean). As soon as the last person gave their offerings, a large wave crashed onto the beach, wetting us!
Immediately upon finishing our chant, a short ways down the beach, a pod of dolphins emerged from the surf, playing and jumping! One dolphin took a mighty leap out of the water and did a back flip!
The Spirit of Ocean heard us, and accepted our prayers!
