Re: Is a skin rash a die-off reaction???
by SLANINA 13 y
What does your rash look like and where is it located? There is a thing called Perioral Dermatitis that needs to be treated with antibiotics. It is something only women get (how great) for the most part. They don’t know what causes it. They suspect it’s hormones. If it’s on your face (around nose, mouth, on your chin) and the bumps come and go , they are itchy and red...then it’s possible you’ve got that. I’ve head it. At first, I thought it’s yeast related, but only antibiotics could cure it.
Take a look at the pictures:

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone has any experience curing birth-control triggered perioral dermatitis. My mirena iud caused mine, and it’s finally going away after 12 weeks of minocycline and aczone. It’s still slightly visible.
When I had my Mirena removed, I decided to switched to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. At first it was going well, and I thought the new birth control might have been helping my face heal. But the bloating and nausea and weight gain from the ortho tri cyclen lo is so bad that I just have to get off of it.
My MAJOR CONCERN is that my perioral dermatitis wil ...

I got perioral dermatitis a few months from using lots of heavy occlusive creams on my face. Since then I have tried everything but nothing gets rid of the red itchy bumps. I have never had skin problems in my life until now and I am so overwhelmed by everything. I can’t even use natural oils without my face getting red itchy bumps and irritated so I have stuck to using nothing for the last few months.
I recently went to a homeopath and he advised me to do liver flushes and I’ve done a few so far but i don’t see a a difference. I know it sounds pessimistic but I don’t think the flushin ...

Could tap water with floride be part of the problem?
by Tippytoes 6 y
I was thinking that since floride in toothpaste and mouthwashes makes our perioral dermatitis get worse. I was wondering if washing our face with bottled purified water would less the degree of our outbreaks of perioral dermatitis? Yesterday I tried rinsing my face with room temperature purified water and the tiny bumps on my face seemed less noticeable. I was also wondering if boiling tap water would remove the floride and other chemicals in tap water so that we can wash or rinse our face without the added floride? Gonna do a little experimenting myself to see. 😃

Red Rash Under Bottom Lip

So for the past week I have had this red rash like thing under my bottom lip. Its right when my lip skin meets my regular skin under my bottom lip. It just looks inflamed.
I feel like this has happened in the past but has gone away quickly and hasnt been this severe.
I looked it up online and have found that it is either Perioral Dermatitis or Lip Licker Dermatitis. It looks more like Lip-Licker dermatitis to me, but I havent been licking my lips. And the causes of Perioral derm. is overuse of steroid and vaseline, which I have definitely done over the past years.

I have been suffering from perioral dermatitis off and on for about 3 years. The doctors say the only treatment for it is antibiotics. I’ve done three courses of tetracycline, it goes away for a while, and then the darn stuff comes back again! Does anyone know of anything natural that will prevent it or does anyone know what triggers it? It’s ghastly, and I’m sick of taking antibiotics.
Thanks for listening.

Hi everybody!
About twelve years ago, at age 22, I got a bout or two or perioral dermatitis. It’s a rashy-pimply concoction that develops on a person’s (usually a woman, and often women who, like me, had few pimples as a teen) chin and mouth area.
The medical community has one answer for perioral dermatitis: antibiotics. Everything I’ve read on the Internet says it won’t go away without them. My own experience at 22 was the same. I had it for several months and with tetrocyclene it went away in a week.
I really don’t know why I suddenly got this bout of it after twelve years of h ...

The reason I use the term thrush and perioral dermatitis interchangeably is because I see them both as having gut dysbiosis as the same route cause and I also don’t have a 100% diagnosis of either. Dermatologists have not been of much use to me.
If you search citrobacter on here there are many examples of it : http://www.curezone.org/forums/search.asp?q=citrobacter+freundii&action=Search
what I found so eerie was how many of my symptoms were described by others with this bacterial infection. No specific mention of EC though but MANY skin related issues.

If you want to use any steroid cream use it as directed though. Not for over a week or two because it can thin out lips or cause perioral dermatitis, which is what I got from using hydrocortisone too much. Honestly I would recommend leaving them alone try not to bite or anything and eat healthy with a multivitamin and maybe a B complex. If you have to put on anything use carmex or blistex ...

Perioral Dermatitis
Perioral refers to the area around the mouth, and dermatitis indicates redness of the skin. In addition to redness, there are usually small red bumps or even pus bumps and mild peeling. The disease can look a lot like acne. The areas most affected are the areas from the nose to the sides of the lips, and the chin…(it can extend to the eyelids and the forehead). Sometimes there is mild itching and/or burning.”

Re: Perioral dermatitis a detox of HW?

Thanks for the input...I haven’t drank as much water as I should be the past couple days.
I was also wondering if it could be demodex mites? I would assume the the HW would make them quite uncomfortable... I’ve had a history of adult onset acne and rosacea and heard this could be caused by the mite. I also notice I do have that crawly feeling on my face and scalp. Hoping it could be my imagination!
