I've had this condition for about three years now and I can tell you that the peeling cycle has not stopped for me no matter what I've tried. The longest I've gone without doing a forceful peel was one month, and that was definitely hard to do and didn't slow down the cycle too much. I've cycled back and forth between trying different methods in the hope of being cured and peeling my lips daily.

To tell you the truth, I've now resorted to peeling my lips daily and it isn't that bad (in my opinion). I recently started a new job (after graduating college) and I will not let this condition run my life. Every night I apply Aquaphor Healing Ointment to my lips and then in the morning after I shower I'll peel my lips. This isn't a completely painless peel, but it is fairly easy to do. If you notice that you're on the verge of going insane, I'd highly recommend just doing what you have to do in order to regain a normal life. Tweet
