My Secret Fantasies.
Making me delirious with an all-consuming desire...
Date: 12/8/2006 10:19:42 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3295 times I'm all by myself, alone in my room, and sprawled on a table are tantalizingly sinful objects just waiting to be consumed with relish...
In one corner is a bucket of Kentucky Fried Extra Tasty double-fried chicken, the salty greasy crispiness of its skin that can easily be removed and dunked into the thick pot of gravy right beside it. I want to take the accompanying deep fried crispy french fries and dunk them first in mayonnaise, then in the gravy. I want to feel the texture of the cold mayonnaise invading my mouth after the hot gravy, a combination of salty and sour all at once. In tandem with all this are the salads, one container of potato salad and the other a macaroni salad, swimming in that special sweet and sour mayonnaise.
The next course is of a mexican flavour - Hard-shell Taco Supremes, accompanied by a Fries Supreme with an extra side of real sour cream. I want extra cheese, and at this stage of the game I don't care how fake it is. I also love how the fries supreme turns into a hot mushy stew-like concoction of fries, ground beef and shredded cheese. Heaven help me...
Next up is a double Quarter-pounder with cheese combo, before McD's started using microwave ovens. Accompanying the combo are all the McNugget sauces, plus two extra sides of McChicken sauce for dipping. Would I like that supersized? You betcha. Alternating between dipping the fries and burger in the array of sauces before me puts me in a special personal version of heaven where only my taste buds matter.
The final course is a personal pizza from Pizza Hut - with the crispy crust that seems like it was fried. This pizza is simple - just double cheese, mushrooms, bacon and pineapple on the side. I want to take big bites and just let that cheesy goodness slip from one side of my mouth to the other, washing it all down with a Coke Classic.
Dessert is a multi-course affair starting with pancakes the way my mom used to make them - with buttermilk, drowned in butter and served with Aunt Jemima grade F (for Fake) Maple Syrup. The edges are slightly crispy and the insides are a mushy combination of butter, flour and sugar that I can mush up on my plate and eat up like it was some kind of heavenly porridge. I would love to put extra butter on that as well and top off with even more maple syrup.
The desert course begins with a piece of baked caramel cheesecake made with real cream cheese and homemade caramel topped with apples. Beside the caramel cheesecake I want a piece of rich chocolate cheesecake for contrast, with real dark German chocolate on top. As a side, I also want tiny custard tarts with fruit topping, and chocolate pecan butter tarts.
My taste buds feel so deprived as I literally have been dreaming about this for 40 hours. The thought of this food has superseded any thoughts of love, happiness and sex. I fall asleep thinking about it and wake up thinking about it. And the strange part is that I haven't had most of the above food for at least 8 years - and in the case of the fast food like McD's, Taco Bell & KFC, it's been 10-12 years!
Back to my fast I go, entering it's 20th day as of tomorrow. The seriousness of this detox has increased as my connections to caffeine and tobacco have been cut. I'm also cutting out the juices and Maple Syrup lemon drink. Every morning I'll drink the juice of half a lemon with it's equivalent in olive oil, and just drink water the remainder of the day. At least this is what I'm planning, so we'll see how it goes.
