Secrets Secrets kill families. Instead of a father-daughter relationship is was more like I was his wife or girlfriend relationship we had. He would tell me everything that went on in my family and talk to me as if I was either one of those. He told me my uncle and him were abused by there dad. At that point I didnt really hate my dad as much as my grandfather. He never told so he never got the help that he needed. When all this came out I told my mom and she knew. My grandmother found out and she basicly told me I was lying and my mom needed to make me believe that. She asked my grandfather about it and he said he didnt do it. When confronted again he said he only did it once to my dad and that it happened more than once to my uncle. If you had seen the look in my dad's eyes when he told me I knew it wasnt only once and he wasnt lying. The day of his grandmothers funeral we went back to our house to change so we could do lunch at her house. He told me that the night we couldnt find him he was with his best friends girlfriend and they went out to dinner and then to a hotel. He told me all the gross details that I really didnt want to know. I knew something more than just friends was going on between them. He told me he loved her like a sister. Some sister! My mom had an idea and he clued her in one time when we were hanging out at his friends house. Her face said all kinds of "How did she find out." Thats how I knew so it really didnt surprise me. I found out that my grandfather was gay and he just married my grandmother to change who he really was. It didnt work exactly as he plained so now hes in a realationship he is unhappy with. I heard stories of his early childhood girlfriends and his past. All the things that a daughter shouldnt really know. I got the ins and outs of each side of the story. I just recently heard my moms side of the stories. My dad said he broke up with her and she wouldnt leave him alone and he HAD to take her back. My moms side is right out of the blue he stopped talking to her and ignored her. She didnt know what to do so she went over there and he took her back. My dad said she gave up her dreams to be a nurse to raise me. Her side is he made her quit because he didnt like her giving older me sponge baths. That was her job. Its not like whatever,but it was him or to be a nurse. He won! My dad was never around when I was born. My mom had to take care of me and go to work. My dad when I was 2 months took off to Flordia and never told any one he was planning it. When my mom went to Montanna he had packed up all of her stuff and had his wedding band off and in his dresser. He had played single the whole time.
