Water fasting, Finally started

Hello everyone, I know that I have started a fast before, but that did not last long. I am going to do this one more time and this time I am determined to reach my goal. I am mainly doing this fast for a spiritual reason and to shed extra pounds. I have gained a lot of weight in less than 9 months, due to depression. For the past 9 months, I have been in denial and didn't really take good care of myself and lost touch with God. Once I accepted reality and decided to move on, that was the biggest wake up call for me. I have to change my ways or I am going to keep digging a big hole around me, that I cannot get out off. I hope by end of the fast, I can find myself again. I want to fast until hunger returns and I am not really focusing on the number. But I want to do a 40 day water fast and after do a 10 day juice fast.
