The National League Champion ship series is looking more like a series to decide who will get to be humiated by the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. William Randolph , the manager of the NY Mets has not had a full pitching staff to work with. Since Orlando Hernandez and Pedro Martinez have been sidelined for the playoffs.
But why has Randolph not used Eric Heilman in the playoffs?
It seems that would have been a better decision for agme two than Mota.

Small plane he was piloting slams into Manhattan high-rise
Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle died in an airplane accident in New York City on Wednesday afternoon when a plane he was piloting crashed into a 50-story building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Reports indicated that the plane took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey around 2:30 p.m. ET, crashing into the building roughly 15 minutes later. The New York City Fire Department and New York City Police Department said that at least two people were killed in the accident.
FBI officials told CNN that Lidle, 34, was the only person aboard the plane.

The New York Mets have partnered with Rock and Wrap It Up!, a national hunger relief and anti-poverty organization to participate in Sports Wrap! Sports Wrap works with New York Mets Management and Aramark in Shea Stadium to recover food that has been prepared but not sold.
After each home game in each stadium, hundred’s of meals are donated to volunteers in waiting vehicles and are taken directly to pantries and shelters, in most instances blocks away from the stadium. Since its inception in 2005, over 50,000 people have been fed with Mets-generated leftover concession food.
