If we were all apprized of the excellent engineering (a very simple) wethod of calculation advanced and large numbers; life would be so much faster and easy! Having spent years in electronics I have found this the best and most smple way to be proficient in math.
When working with large and complex numbers from in the millions down to one learn to use Scientific notation or engineering shorthand!
This simply involves using the ”powers of ten” since all numbers can be simply expressed as a power of the base of ten!
This means that any number can be expressed as a number between 1 and 10, multiplied by 10 raised to the same power!
Examples:
543 = 5.43 X 10 squared!
2000 = 2 X 10 x (5 the power)
3,00,000 = 3 X 10 x (5 power)
0.005 = 5 x 10 x (minus 3 power)
