*CAUTION* N-acetylcysteine (NAC)   17 y
Researchers at the University of Virginia Health System have discovered troubling side effects of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a common antioxidant used in nutritional and bodybuilding supplements.

NAC can form a red blood cell-derived molecule called nitrosothiol that fools your body into thinking there’s an oxygen shortage, which can lead to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH is a serious condition, where the arteries in the lungs narrow, increasing the blood pressure in your lungs, causing the right side of your heart to swell. Lead researcher Dr. Ben Gaston, noted that this is an entirely new understanding of how oxygen is sensed by the body. As it turns out, your body responds to the nitrosothiols, which are created when a decreased amount of oxygen is carried b ...   read more

I have used Joe Land tapes.  I have 3 CDs sitting here I just got in the mail.  They work fantastically.  Below is an example, Gaining confidence with the opposite sex.  There are other tapes/CDs that compliment this one if you need them, such as Self-Image or Stopping Procrastination.  Joe Land was on an infomercial years ago and he actually used his own subliminal tapes to learn how to be a race car driver.  He made millions with his ventures and no longer needed to sell his tapes.  Millions of people were upset, so he not only decided to bring them back, but at a big discou ...   read more

Ten Big Lies of Multilevel Marketing   17 y
by Robert L. Fitzpatrick ©1997

Lie #1: MLM offers better opportunities than all other conventional business and professional models for making large amounts of money. Truth: For almost everyone who invests, MLM turns out to be a losing financial proposition. Fewer than 1% of all MLM distributors ever earn a profit and those earning a sustainable living at this business are a much smaller percentage still. Extraordinary sales and marketing obstacles account for much of this failure, but even if the business were more feasible, sheer mathematics would severely limit the opportunity. The MLM business stru ...   read more

Mass Stupidity & Government-Abetted Corporate Crime:   17 y
Toxic Chemicals in Food, Water & Cosmetics By Mike Adams NewsTarget.com

The mass poisoning of humanity: an exploration of human stupidity As human beings, we’re the only species stupid enough to actually poison ourselves. As part of modern living, we create a wide variety of chemical toxins that go into the ecosystem through rivers and streams, the air, the soil and so on. Not only that, we actually synthesize toxic chemicals and then inject them directly into the food supply -- knowing full well that they are poisonous and are major contributors to the epidemic rates of chronic disease we are experiencing today. What are these chemicals I’m talking abou ...   read more

Al Gore Live Earth   17 y
Well, your CD collection looks shiny and costly. How much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzi? And how much did you spend on your black leather jacket? Is it you or your parents in this income tax bracket? Excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking what they're selling. Your self-destruction doesn't hurt them. Your chaos won't convert them. They're so happy to rebuild it. You'll never really kill it. Yeah, excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking what they're selling. Excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking, You're drinking, You're drinking what they're selling.

By AHarleyGyrl The problem with Live Earth is that it simply doesn’t practice what it preaches. Celebrities lead extravagant lifestyles. I saw on the tv the other day a celeb paying $75,000 for a wedding dress and her flowers cost $100,000. Most humans will not put any stock in a message that comes from people who are not doing as they say to do. You hear the message to change all your light bulbs and turn off your air conditioner, etc.... This is preached to the little people, the common folk like you and me. Well, I guarantee that global warming would not ha ...   read more

Breaking a compact fluorescent light bulb...   17 y
could cost you $2,000 in toxic mercury cleanup

While large-scale marketing efforts tout cost savings of compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), few are explaining the real cost -- to the environment and to individuals -- of broken or discarded CFLs. One consumer has learned that accidentally breaking a CFL could cost her more than $2,000. According to the newspaper Ellsworth American, Brandy Bridges of Prospect, Maine, has been given a conservative quote of $2,000 for toxic cleanup of one CFL broken in her home. Bridges broke the CFL as she was installing it in her daughter’s bedroom. Because Bridges knew that CFLs contai ...   read more

Fluorescent Light Ain't Right   17 y
Studies worldwide prove that if schools and workplaces were lit with sunlight or full-spectrum bulbs kids would do better in school, and rates of depression and suicide would drop everywhere, from colleges to prisons.

Fluorescent light puts you at risk from cancer and depression. Witness the ghastly fluorescent glow in the atrium of New York University’s Bobst Library. Here two 18-20 year old male students, Stephen Bohler and John Skolnik, plunged 10 stories to their deaths in the fall of 2003, killing themselves despite being in the prime of their lives. The library is bursting with bright fluorescent light (like most classrooms), and the days were getting shorter. Coincidence? Since I went public with my breast implant problems six years ago, hundreds of women have contacted me desperate for trustworthy information about breast implants. I founded In the Know as a support group for women in the entertainment industry who are struggling with these issues. It is essential that we all get ”in the know.” Over the years I have worked regularly with the brave women you see in this ...   read more

Fish Farms Become Feedlots of the Sea   17 y
Like cattle pens, the salmon operations bring product to market cheaply. But harm to ocean life and possibly human health has experts worried.

By Kenneth R. Weiss If you bought a salmon filet in the supermarket recently or ordered one in a restaurant, chances are it was born in a plastic tray here, or in a place just like it. Instead of streaking through the ocean or leaping up rocky streams, it spent three years like a marine couch potato, circling lazily in pens, fattening up on pellets of salmon chow. It was vaccinated as a small fry to survive the diseases that race through these oceanic feedlots, acres of net-covered pens tethered offshore. It was likely dosed with antibiotics to ward off infection or fed pest ...   read more
