Send Private Message To mayeast Send Email To mayeast So there I was trying to create my dream to be a singer/songwriter of romantic poems and songs. "Valentines May". Okay but it's better than "Hanoi Jane." Sure I didn't take care of myself, I didn't eat right (but I am trim), I burned the candle at both ends, I lived under a slew of high tension wires and 3 people where I worked had died of cancer in the past 2 years. Okay, okay...but I was only 18. HELLO IN THERE ONE EIGHT. So when a tiny pea lump showed up and I was in the middle of recording "Happy Valentine's" I ignored it. The health care here is horrendous and I would have to choose between years finishing my Valentine's CD or just pushing on through. Everything was in place, the musicians were hyped, they loved playing the music. If I had dropped everything and did the chemo route I could have very easily have died from it. Certainly it would have left me broke. And if the chemo destroyed my body the way it leaves others' bodies broken, my voice (my instrument) would never be the same. So anyway I risked it all to finish my dream, to have a sample of at least finishing the first step before giving it up to salvage my health. There are samples of romantic Valentines/love poems and songs gratis at http://www.valentinesdaylovepoems.com I put these up before I knew I was sick and was going to finish all 40 of them before putting out any of them. The fully mixed and mastered songs have 3 free short samples and are at cafepress (you have to pay to mail order a CD). http://www.cafepress.com/happyvalentine/ Hope your health is steadily improving. Thank God for HLC and people like her. ;) |
