Update: spring 2007 - progress is being made, though now it's my own self-doubt that's my greatest enemy, not my unsupportive family. I'm learning I'll never get anywhere if I don't believe in MYSELF (regardless what my family thinks). It may seem like a never-ending cycle... but I hope one day it will end and I'll be allowed to be free and HAPPY. Curing the emotional wounds is MUCH harder than any physical healing. It's very difficult to balance both the body, the mind, and societal/family expectations. The most important thing is is stay true to YOURSELF. |
