My condition is similar to yours, sometimes, Warthog...with other contributing factors.

I have recently read (can't remember where on CureZone) that some parasites create constipation for their own benefit. Devious little things!

The differences between you and your husband may be due to hormonal differences (there sure are a lot of various hormones in our systems), or even due to parasites. Not all parasites pass from one human to another. Some (many?) require a cycle in soil, or snails, or on plants, before they are in a form to infect another animal. Some need a person to pass by, barefoot.

Activity levels matter, I think, and the types of movements one makes.

Mindset may contribute hugely. Sometimes I am positive that 'struggling against' a condition gets me more of what I DON'T want.

A few times I have been able to make a 'for' statement, once or twice, forget about it, and have it happen!

The most dramatic 'for' statement I made was, "I will remember every telephone number I need to remember, when I need to remember it."

It happened the next day, a number I had needed to look up in the book, every time, jumped into my head when my hand was over the reciever to call...and the talent has stayed with me since 1985...though I don't always use it I know I can.

I plan to devise 'for' statements for other uses...one of them being sleep habits.

Maybe, just maybe this needs more practice in certain other areas around here.

I think your question about various bowel cleansing ways may need a rest, depending on other factors. Perhaps you could assist your system with any 'for' statement that appeals to you. Only a guess.

I knew one very lovely young woman who looked too often and too closely at her mirror. It caused her to wear too much makeup, spoiling her appearance something awful.

A dermatologist told me this, many years ago, when I asked about the condition of my own skin. He said that we would be amazed at the poor skin condition of many top models.

That told me not to worry so much...and lots of people have complimented me on my facial appearance over the years.

I have been a great worrier...but, less and less now.

Hm-m-m... Have you seen the infommercial for 'Hip Hop Abs'?

I like the movements they make...none on the floor...and one little mention of exhaling on the exertion.

As I understand it, this is an old, old yoga trick.

As you tense a muscle, you exhale gently and fully. Two things then happen...you automatically take in a full lung capacity on the next inhale, not just the 1/5th that we usually do...and, the oxygen of the next inhale goes to the muscles just tensed, strengthening them.

Several exercise programs use this principle...mainly because it promotes weight loss, and muscle tone.

When I saw this principle combined with the simple dance movements and tummy 'crunches' of 'Hip Hop Abs', I sat up and took notice! What if a person turned off the sound of this video, played music of the tempo they prefer, and made up their own dance, at their own speed?

Maybe this would be fun with a few neighbors.

I know that making up my own 'crunches' on my Tony Little Gazelle glider, has worked to manage my tummy size within two or three ten-minute stretches, one per day.

Just day-dreaming here.

'Scuse me. I gotta go get my glider out of storage.
