I am not a Dr. and would not try to diagnose, but I can share some things from personal experience. They may, or may not be of help to you. You decide.

Your discription of the pain could be almost anything. You would also need to be more discriptive. Perhaps you should have more diagnostic work done. CAT scan or MRI? Non invasive diagnostic tools can sometimes be quite helpful, but not always. For example, blockage of the common or bile duct with "chafe or sludge" may not be picked up with the ultrasound or CAT scans.

However, if it is gallbladder related, many times gallbladder pain is not only felt in the top front of the abdomen on the right side, but radiates through to the back. Often that pain is felt in the muscles immediately adjacent to the right side of the spine about 2-3" below the bottom of the shoulder blade. Also, gallbladder attacks (acute verses chronic pain) are often precipitated by eating, especially fatty foods. Are either of these occuring with you? They did with me.

There are many things that could obstruct the cystic duct or common bile duct. Without going into all of them, however, if either are obstructed, you should have significant digestive problems...gas, heartburn, yellow or light colored stools, poor nutrient uptake and more.

Are there times the pain is severe and/or times it is not so bad? Any pattern to the above?

If you decide to do a liver flush, do Dr. H. Clarks flush. I am convinced it is the best. It may well help obstructions caused by "stones, chafe or sludge." It sure has with me. But it may/will not help if the obstructions are caused by a tumor or by parasites (assuming you have not done the parasite cleanse first...which you should) or physiology, etc.

Other possible causes of pain not related to the above that you should be tested for include importantly, hiatial hernia and ulcer (do you have blood in the stools? Dr. can easily have this tested for with a smear kit). There are many more possible causes that may need (should have?) evaluation/elimination from the possible list of causes before you take action.

Doing a Liver Flush without more diagnostic work would be a shot in the dark. Might just work, but might also have nothing to do with your pain. There are risks. For example, if you have a serious ulcer, including a perferated ulcer, you would be taking a risk doing a flush, do to the Magesium Sulfate ( Epsom Salts ) you will take for the flush. It could make bleeding somewhat to much worse. Perhaps you and your Dr. have eliminated an ulcer from the list of possible causes. That would be good. You need to decide if it is worth the risk or if you should have more diagnostic work done first. Only you can decide.
