pretty cool. These concepts come to mind:

focus...single-mindedness=efficiency and expansion

Maybe your example of work would work:
I bet you focus pretty intently at the task at hand...you are single-minded about your actions and area of focus...this allows you to accomplish a task *quickly* or *thoroughly* and then you are free to move on.

The opposite is doing something with the feeling of rush because you are anticipating all the work *out there* in the *future* that needs to be done. So one's focus is really dispersed to the perceived future, not staying focused in the present. This lends to energy loss and efficiency dismantled.

Seems to me it comes down to point of focus...

Kinda like...sit still and focus on what's in front of you..and your peripheral vision expands.

I am working towards concentrating my energy cause I was really dispersed in a bunch of directions and I didn't like it.

Can you try to explain your 'freeze' experiences?
